Media Enquiries

I get quite a few inbound requests for information that can be published. Here you can find some material that might be useful and that you can freely use.

If your enquiry is specifically concerning one of the companies I am (or have been) associated with then please contact that company through their usual channels. Most have a media relations team, or a press contact.

For press, event or website content you can find a selection of materials here and you can also check my CV.

If you need more or want to talk to me about something in particular then the best way to get in touch is through one of the social media platforms.

Title and Introductions

I often get asked about how to describe what I do, I understand it's complicated!

In the context of one of the companies I am involved with then please use the job title and company name that is relevant. I prefer the title 'Chair' to 'Chairman'.

If the context is a portfolio one, then 'Independent Advisor' is an appropriate title.

In all other situations I generally describe myself as an 'Independent Director' with a 'portfolio of Non-Executive Directorships'.

More than 30 years' Board experience, as an Executive, Non-Executive and Chair in private, listed, charity and government organisations.
8 years' Executive experience in the Media sector, 14 in Telecoms and Internet - 11 in the FTSE100/250.
Two £multi-billion FTSE IPO's, 34 M&A transactions - 3 Class 1 and 26 with Private Equity.
UK, European and Global experience in companies from start-ups to FTSE100 with a strong-growth advanced-technology profile.
